About

The  Port Macquarie Yacht Club  holds racing events each Sunday throughout the year. The fleet consists of deep keel offshore vessels though to trailer yachts competing in inshore and offshore racing. The PMYC is a member club of Yachting NSW. All yachts undergo an annual equipment audit, either Category 4 or 7. Racing is conducted either on the Hastings River or offshore, scheduled to co-ordinate with tide times.

The Inshore & Offshore races are annual point scores.  Twilight point score races are held each Thursday late afternoon during the daylight saving months. There are two weekend offshore trophy events each year. Both events start from Port Macquarie heading south to the Camden Haven River and return with an overnight stay on the Camden Haven at Laurieton.

A one day Inshore regatta is held generally during the first half of the year, with the 2 day Offshore regatta held later in the year.  A special Australia day event is conducted by the club to co-ordinate with Australia day activities. If conditions allow a social gathering of participants will take place.  During the year the Club may arrange social sails on the river & BBQ afterwards.

PMYC meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month from 19.30 @ the Port Macquarie Sailing Club premises.   The Club welcomes all yachts owners, family and friends to join and participate in our sailing activities.
